My husband is a bit of a cocktail connoisseur. Whenever we have friends over, he can be found in our apartment kitchen talking about different kinds of mixers, interesting recipes he's read lately or getting everyone to taste his latest cocktail creation. When Health-Ade's newest flavor of kombucha (hello Tropical Punch!) made its way to our refrigerator, he immediately went to work experimenting on a new recipe and summer sip: the Tropical Punch Kombucha Cocktail!
Tropical Punch is exactly that - a punchy, tropical, fruit-forward kombucha bursting with all the tropical vibes. Every sip tastes like sitting on a deserted island while eating pineapple and mango and enjoying the sound of the ocean's waves and sounds - seriously. My husband wanted to pair these tropical flavors with rum and tequila to bring out their natural sweetness while providing a bit of island "pop" too! The Tropical Punch Kombucha Cocktail features mint, lime juice, and fresh pineapple, which add essential brightness and tang to every sip.
The most exciting part about this Tropical Punch Kombucha Cocktail (other than the natural probiotic tang and digestive-friendly goodness) is the fact that you can make each glass extra fun for a summer party. Adding fresh pieces of pineapple, mango, orange slices, lemons, and limes makes this cocktail extra festive while garnishing with a cute paper umbrella is essential!
Serves 2
2 limes, juiced
1 1/2 ounces blue agave silver tequila
1 ounce white rum
2 sprigs fresh mint
1 tsp. agave syrup (optional)
6 ounces Health-Ade Tropical Punch kombucha
1/4 cup cubed pineapple (fresh or frozen)
Add lime juice, tequila, rum, mint, agave syrup, and a handful of ice to a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously to combine.
Add additional ice and cubed pineapple to two glasses and strain mixture equally into each. Top off each glass with Health-Ade Tropical Punch Kombucha cocktail. (And there are other flavors you can experiment with too)
Garnish with an umbrella and enjoy!
