A zingy, bright, bold marigold infused mocktail to keep your tastebuds stoked and your happy hour delicious. Created by @sadd_papi
- 4 marigolds
- 2" knobs of ginger
- 1 lemon
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup sugar
- tonic water
- 1 bottle of Health-Ade Ginger Lemon Kombucha
optional: add a spirit of your choice if you'd like!
1. Separate the petals and stems of your marigold flowers. Fill an ice cube tray with petals and distilled water and freeze overnight.
2. Next prepare your marigold and ginger syrup. Peel and slice your ginger, add it to a pot with water and sugar, bring it to a simmer and cook down until reduced by half (you should end up with about 1 cup). Remove the ginger, add your marigold petals and let steep overnight.
3. To assemble the drink, peel a strip of lemon zest, twist to release the oils, and wipe around the rim. Add the ice cube, about a tablespoon of your syrup, fill half the glass with tonic water, and top it off with your Health-Ade Ginger Lemon Kombucha and stir before enjoying!
