Brewing a Sustainable Future

We’re working hard to grow our sustainability efforts year over year. Here’s a look at our progress in 2024:

We’re ALWAYS focused on reducing our carbon footprint on the road, and in 2024, we reduced freight and truck mileage driven per case by 8.8% through optimizations saving millions of miles. Through this effort we reduced carbon emissions related to freight by approximately 184,000 lbs.

In 2024, we diverted 88% of our total waste in manufacturing, far exceeding LA county standard for recycling and recovery.

In 2024, we reduced the gallons of cleaning water used per case equivalent by 32%, despite increasing our overall production volume, saving 800,000 gallons of water through our clean in place water reduction process.

In 2025 we plan to make key optimizations that will increase our Reverse Osmosis water utilization and also reduce our overall water usage. Stay tuned for updates on these efforts!

We’re proudly committed to never producing plastic bottles. We use 80% recyclable materials and make sure our packaging is Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) approved. Our bottles, caps, and cans are 100% recyclable!

In 2025 we’ll be building a community garden at our Torrance office where we can grow fresh fruits and vegetables for our employees to take home to their families.

At Health-Ade we offer our employees paid volunteer opportunities a few times a year! In 2024, our employees completed over 740 volunteer hours!

At Health-Ade, our dedication to sustainability and community responsibility ensures that our growth benefits not only our customers but also the planet and people at large. We focus on growing our sustainability efforts each year, while also cultivating a happy and healthy self that begins with supporting the community around us!

The Wellness Committee plays a vital role at Health-Ade by fostering a culture of well-being among employees. From organizing wellness programs and fitness challenges to providing resources for stress management and work-life balance, the committee ensures that employee well-being remains a top priority. A healthier, happier team not only enhances productivity but also reinforces Health-Ade’s commitment to holistic wellness—both in the workplace and in the products it brings to consumers.

Health-Ade’s Buddy Program is an onboarding and knowledge sharing method we use to orient new employees. We assign new employees to a workplace buddy who guides the new employee through the first 3 months of the job.

In 2024, Health-Ade donated over 27,000 bottles of kombucha and cans of SunSip to medical organizations, food banks, first responders, charitable organizations and other community programs.

In 2024, Health-Ade supported underserved communities with $145,000 in cash donations via well-established wellness organizations making real change, like The Garden School Project and Whole Foods Market Foundation.
